Welcome to World 8-Ball Rules.Com. My name is Dominique Chiu. I am a grade D Referee, currently looking after the general secretary positions in Royal Berkshire County and the West London Pool League. In addition, I also play for the County Ladies team in the Royal Berkshire County Pool Association.

World 8-Ball Pool Rules were introduced in 2002. The purpose of these rules primarily is to encourage players to use more attacking tactics and plan out their strategies during very early stage of their games. In order to do all of this, first off, you will need to understand the difference between these rules and the rules you are currently playing to. Our referee seminars are designed to help embark you (and your pool league) on this journey.

All the seminars are designed specifically to suit the integration from other rules to the World 8-Ball Pool Rules. Each seminar will be accompanied with personal handouts in order to help you remember what you were taught and refresh what you might have forgotten. The seminars will also guide you, and help you along your way, to the professional referee qualification, just like me.

During the seminars, I will also demonstrate some scenarios, that you might find interesting, and scenarios that occur very often during pool competitions.

First off, gauging your current level of knowledge is important. We would like to invite you to complete the form below, telling us what you already know, and where you think you will need to top up your knowledge of the World 8-Ball Pool Rules. This will help us tremendously when designing the content of the seminar and making sure that the seminar is designed specifically to meet your needs.

Before you complete the form, you might want to take a quick glance at the official EPA World 8-ball pool rules.

When you are ready to fill in the form, just click the key below.

Finally, "Practice makes perfect". After attending any of our seminars, we can help you identify competition opportunities to practice your newly learnt skill.
